Confirmation
Confirmation is for everyone in grades 7 through 12 and you are urged to attend. We’ll teach you things you never knew about the Bible, Christianity, and the Presbyterian Tradition. This series is required for those seeking Confirmation. It's also great for high school students considering baptism, and for those who have already been confirmed. The goal is to provide you with a solid background in Christian tradition and theology so that you can develop and articulate your own beliefs. Discussions of the Bible, religious art, and ethics make these lunches interesting – your observations make them fascinating.
During Confirmation young people in grades 7 and up are guided in a process of learning and questioning the meaning of and commitment to their Christian faith. The journey includes gaining an understanding and appreciation of the beliefs and teachings of other faiths. In their course of study and discernment they also explore the ways in which God calls us to be a faithful people. Upon completion and a public profession of their faith, the confirmands become full communicant members of our congregation.
