Eric Thomas, Director of Adult Christian Education


The Director of Adult Christian Education is responsible for developing, organizing, and implementing Christian education for adult members and friends of First Church.

Eric Thomas is a Candidate for Ministry under care of the Presbytery of Greater Atlanta. He served as a Theological Student Advisory Delegate (TSAD) for the 219th General Assembly in Minneapolis, and is a board member of More Light Presbyterians.  He is a graduate of the Johnson C. Smith Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) where he earned Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Church Music degrees.   He is attending Drew University in pursuit of a PhD in New Testament and Cultural Studies.  Prior to pursuing his call to ministry, Eric worked in marketing and community engagement positions at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Lincoln Center, and the National Black Arts Festival.   Eric is the proud uncle of two nephews Jayden and Devin and a niece, Nia.
